marmaris-2-1

Day 1 Marmaris

Welcome to Marmaris gulet cruise. Guests can board their yacht in mid-afternoon in Marmaris and we will set sail the next day.  Dinner is served on board, the first of many lovely meals over the next few days, but there is still time to see what Marmaris has to offer before setting sail.

You will have time to stroll around the vibrant center of Maramis and enjoy its shops, market, bars, live performances and more. That busy tempo will be a contrast to the coming days of quiet and relaxation sailing into bays and secluded beaches.

bozukkale-1

Day 2 Arap Island, Bozukkale (Loryma)

Next stop with your Turkish gulet boat is Arap Island. Arap Islet is Turkish territory. It is uninhabited, located between the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. There is a rough pathway coming up from the beach and leading to the village of Taşlıca around 3.5 kms away. It has a completely rural feel which you will experience as you walk.

bozburun

Day 3 Bozburun

Bozburun, a small town west of Marmaris, feels like the ultimate combination of a small Turkish working village of fishermen and a tourist town.   Well known for building wooden craft including gulets. It has a delightful atmosphere and an authentic feel. You can find many restaurants along the bay with  antique shops next to the local butcher.

datca-1

Day 4 Bencik Bay, Datca

Bencik Bay is a quiet and sheltered place for gulet holidays. It is just across from Selimiye on the Hisaronu side of the peninsula dividing the Gulfs of Hisaronu and Gokova. There is a lovely grassed area but no facilities for visitors. That does not detract from the beauty of the place.

symi (1)

Day 5 Ano Symi (Symi Island)

The highlight of gulet charter is Symi. Symi, off the Datca Peninsula of Turkey is another relaxing island. It is fairly small but offers plenty of chance to explore. The landscape is lovely and once back in Ano Symi there are bars and tavernas offering delicious cuisine which you should try with the local wine.

rhodes-1-1

Day 6 Rhodes Island

Rhodes, the Knights Island, 'more beautiful than the sun' according to the ancient Greeks, is the largest and most fertile of the Dodecanese, ringed by sandy beaches, full of monuments evoking a long, colorful history.  The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  It has been home to several ‘’civilizations’’ in its history and also home to a the Colossues, the Ancient Wonder of the World though the Colossus was destroyed by an earthquake many centuries ago. There you can visit the Venetian Castle, the Street of the Knights, the Palace of the Grand Master, and then find the taverns, bars and restaurants and the vibrant night life to end another wonderful gullet yacht charter day.

kadirga-1

Day 7 Kadirga Harbor, Star Island (Nimara)

Kadirga Harbor is a pretty bay not far to the west from Marmaris. It is sheltered and has been awarded the Blue Flag because of its sparkling clean waters that make it a great place for a swim.

The bay is surrounded by small cliff-like rock formations providing the bay with shelter and a feeling of seclusion.  It was a small fishing port and also a snug hideaway for Barbary pirate ships in the 17th century.

Day 8 Marmaris

The charter finishes back in port with guests enjoying an excellent breakfast before finally returning to dry land. If you have some days ashore before finally returning home, we would recommend that you take some time to see what Marmaris and the immediate region has to offer. The natural environment is stunning; forests hug the slopes with the contrast between green and the blue of the sea and sky creating a lovely setting. Thank you for choosing Turkyacht for your gulet hire Turkey.
