Day 1 Marmaris
Welcome on board to the Marmaris gulet cruise. You can board in the afternoon in Marmaris and we will set sail the next day. You will be served on board the first of the delicious dinners you can expect during the cruise . You will have time to stroll around the vibrant center of Maramis and enjoy its shops, market, bars, live performances and more. That busy tempo will be a contrast to the coming days of quiet and relaxation sailing into bays and secluded beaches.
Day 2 Arap Island, Bozukkale (Loryma)
A contrast to the pulsating environment in Marmaris. This is an uninhabited island in Turkish territory positioned between the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
There is a rough pathway coming up from the beach and leading to the village of Taşlıca around 3.5 kms away. It has a completely rural feel which you will experience as you walk.
Day 3 Bozburun
Bozburun, a small town west of Marmaris, feels like the ultimate combination of a small Turkish working village of fishermen and a tourist town. Well known for building wooden craft including gulets. It has a delightful atmosphere and an authentic feel. You can find many restaurants along the bay with antique shops next to the local butcher.
Day 4 Bencik Bay, Datca
Bencik Bay is a quiet and sheltered place for gulet holidays. It is just across from Selimiye on the Hisaronu side of the peninsula dividing the Gulfs of Hisaronu and Gokova. Pine trees cover the slopes of the bay until they meet the shoreline, leading the way to many different coves and reefs. You can enjoy the tranquility of the scenery amidst the turquoise waters together with the sleepy villages. Breathe in the scent of thyme, rosemary and sage. Look out for the goats on the road and old men playing with their worry beads in vine-covered cafes.
Day 5 Ano Symi (Symi Island)
Hailed as one of Greece’s prettiest islands, Symi is characterized by pastel-colored town houses and a quaint harbor full of wooden fishing boats. Off the Datca Peninsula of Turkey it is one of the most traditional and colorful islands in the Aegean Sea. Quite small, the island is famous for colorful neo-classical house facades, sponge diving traditions and delicious sea food with plenty of chances to explore. The island is as stunning as the photos you can see on line.
Day 6 Rhodes Island
Rhodes, the Knights Island, 'more beautiful than the sun' according to the ancient Greeks, is the largest and most fertile of the Dodecanese, ringed by sandy beaches, full of monuments evoking a long, colorful history. Its old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has been home to several ‘’civilizations’’ in its history and also home to a former Ancient Wonder of the World, Colossus, though it was destroyed by an earthquake many centuries ago. There you can visit the Venetian Castle, the Street of the Knights, the Palace of the Grand Master, and then find the taverns, bars and restaurants and the vibrant night life to end another wonderful gulet yacht charter day.
Day 7 Kadirga Harbor, Star Island (Nimara)
Kadirga Harbor is a pretty bay not far to the west from Marmaris. It is sheltered and has been awarded the Blue Flag because of its sparkling clean waters that make it a great place for a swim.
The bay is surrounded by small cliff-like rock formations providing the bay with shelter and a feeling of seclusion. It was a small fishing port and also a snug hideaway for Barbary pirate ships in the 17th century.
Day 8 Marmaris
Your cruise ends with you enjoying a delicious breakfast before disembarking. If time allows, visit Marmaris and the area around. A lovely setting for a stroll to admire the green of the surrounding forest and the turquoise of the sea, and to tempt you to book your next gullet charter with us!
